Los libros de J. Liao me parecen verdaderas joyas. Éste es quizás el más infantil; presenta un tono y unas ilustraciones un poco diferentes a otros del mismo autor.
Es un texto sobre los miedos que deben ser superados. El monstruo que un niño cree tiene escondido debajo de su cama empieza a comer y a comer toda la oscuridad que encuentra hasta que provoca un gran desarreglo en el mundo.
